What is AeroFrag?
AeroFrag is a free multiplayer first-person arena shooter that runs in your web browser. Up to 8 players fight in free-for-all deathmatch across 4 handcrafted sci-fi maps, with 5 weapons and 5 gravity settings. Bots fill empty seats, or you can play solo against them. There is nothing to install and no account to make.
It plays like the arena shooters of the late 90s. Everyone spawns equal with the same rifle. Weapons, health and shields sit on the map, and controlling them is how you win. There are no loadouts, classes or abilities to unlock.

Play with friends in three steps
Private lobbies, no sign-up. Matches run in the host's browser and players connect peer to peer, so there is no matchmaking queue to wait in.
Host a lobby
Pick the map, gravity, frag and time limits, and room for 2 to 8 players.
Send the code
Share the 4-character room code or the invite link. Friends join from their own browser, with no account.
Ready up and fight
The match starts when everyone is ready. Afterwards the whole group lands back in the lobby for a rematch.
Built for real connections. Your own movement responds instantly while the host confirms it, and the host rewinds time to check each shot, so a hit lands where you aimed even with some lag.
Never a half-empty arena. With Fill with bots on, bots take every free seat and step aside the moment a friend joins, even mid-match.
Four handcrafted maps
From a tight orbital station to an outpost on the Moon. Each map has its own layout, lighting and sky.

Relay
Orbital Training Station
Medium, 4–8 players. Standard gravity by default.

Apogee
Floating ring around an open void, built for low gravity
Medium, 4–8 players. Standard gravity by default.

Meridian
Multi-level orbital drydock: hangars, roofs and skybridges
Large, 6–8 players. Standard gravity by default.

Selene
Lunar outpost: lava tubes below, gantries above, ships overhead
Medium, 4–8 players. Lunar gravity by default.
Change gravity, change the fight
Gravity is a match setting, from Heavy to Drift. Jump pads adjust their launch so they still land you in the same spot, and air control rises as gravity drops, so floaty fights stay precise. Pick a setting to see a running jump drawn to scale.

Five weapons, all on the map
You spawn with the Pulse Rifle. Everything else is a pickup, so knowing where the Rail Lance sits matters.
| Weapon | What it does | Damage | Fire rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pulse Rifle | Automatic rifle. Spread grows as you hold the trigger; crouch to tighten it. | 14 | 10 / s |
| Scatter Cannon | Nine-pellet shotgun. Brutal up close, weak past 8 m. | 9 × 9 | 1.1 / s |
| Arc Launcher | Plasma launcher. Slow enough to dodge at range, with splash damage and knockback. | 70 + 60 splash | 1.1 / s |
| Rail Lance | Piercing lance that hits two targets in a line. Double damage to the head. | 85 | 0.7 / s |
| Longshot Rifle | Scoped rifle, perfectly accurate when zoomed. A scoped headshot kills a full-health player. | 75 | 0.7 / s |
Play solo against bots
Every map plays solo against 1 to 7 bots, whenever you like, and the same bots fill empty seats in multiplayer. They see through a vision cone, need line of sight, hear gunfire and react after a delay, so you can surprise them and outplay them.

Made for the browser
AeroFrag runs on WebGL 2 with a fixed 60 Hz simulation, so movement and hit detection behave the same at any frame rate. A graphics preset (Low, Medium or High) is picked for your hardware on first launch, and every setting applies without a reload.

Questions
Can I play AeroFrag with friends?
Yes. Host a private lobby, send your friends the 4-character room code or the invite link, and they join from their own browsers. A match holds 2 to 8 players.
Can I play AeroFrag on my own?
Yes. Pick Play solo to fight 1 to 7 bots at Recruit, Veteran or Elite difficulty on any map. Once the game has loaded, a solo match runs entirely on your computer, with no connection needed.
What if not enough friends are online?
Turn on Fill with bots and bots take every empty seat. When a friend joins, even mid-match, a bot steps aside to make room.
Is AeroFrag free?
Yes. AeroFrag is free to play in your browser, with no download, no install and no account, for you or for the friends you invite.
What do I need to run AeroFrag?
A desktop or laptop browser with WebGL 2, such as a current Chrome, Edge or Firefox, plus a keyboard and mouse. Graphics presets run from Low, meant for integrated graphics and Chromebooks, to High.
Is AeroFrag like Quake or Unreal Tournament?
It plays in the same tradition: free-for-all deathmatch, weapons and health on the map, jump pads and no loadouts or abilities. Everyone starts equal and the map is the upgrade path.
How many maps are there?
4: Relay, Apogee, Meridian and Selene. Each is handcrafted, and Selene is on the Moon with Lunar gravity by default.
Can I play on a phone or tablet?
Not yet. AeroFrag is built for keyboard and mouse, so it needs a desktop or laptop.
